Thank you for making Coronado Playhouse a huge success in 2019!

We enjoyed great success–with a leading 15 Aubrey Awards including Best Musical, Best Direction, Best Musical Direction and Best Actor for “A Man of No Importance” as well as awards for “Macbeth,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Cabaret” and “The Old Man and The Old Moon.” In addition to our Main Stage productions we also presented a sizzling, sold out staged concert of “Bare: A Pop Opera” and worked with the Coronado Public Library and Cultural Arts Commission to hostCoronado Community Read’s “Evening with Author Laura McNeal.”

Also, in keeping with our community values, we partnered each of our Main Stage shows with a local non-profit organization to bring attention to critical causes around San Diego, including Ronald McDonald House, Coronado Public Library and Friends of Coronado Library, Veteran’s Village of San Diego and Emilio Nares Foundation. Our partnership with the Anti-Defamation League during “Cabaret” raised over $5,000 for their cause! Overall, through the generosity of you, our patrons, we raised nearly $20,000 for our partners this year.

Coronado Playhouse is celebrating our 74th year in 2020. We are excited about our upcoming season; but we can’t operate without your help. Coronado Playhouse is a community-based non-profit which means we rely on donations from people like you for our day-to-day operations while maintaining the high-quality level of production and performance of each of ours that you have come to expect from the Playhouse.

As you consider your end-of-year giving we hope you think of Coronado Playhouse and the experience of theater we provide to you and to the community of San Diego. Large or small, your gift has a huge impact on the Playhouse and our community.

You can donate on line, at, mail a check to Coronado Playhouse, 1835 Strand Way, Coronado, CA 92118 or call 619-435-4856.

On behalf of our staff and Board of Directors, I want to thank you for your support and wish you Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year!

Warmest Regards
