FLASH (... hello, Flash): In rural Texas Hill Country at last month’s Uvalde High School graduation ceremony, valedictorian Abigail Kone in her address to nearly 300 fellow grads paid touching tribute to nearby Robb Elementary School, remembering the youngsters murdered in yet another senseless mass shooting perpetrated on May 24th a few short weeks ago.

Please allow me to quote from an Associated Press story dated June 24th: “After reading off the names of the 19 slain children, Kone concluded her valedictory address: ‘So tonight, I would like to include these children of Robb Elementary as honorary members of the Class of 2022 family,’ she said to prolonged applause.” [AP] Oh, dear. Very nicely done, dear Abigail. [sigh]
