To all those that volunteered, participated or donated to this past Sunday’s 23rd annual Low Tide Ride & Stride, put on by the Coronado Rotary Club, I would like to extend my deep appreciation for your involvement and generosity.

This was a difficult year. The event was canceled last year and postponed from June to September of this year. With the odds against it, the event was well attended, the volunteers came out in droves and the donations made it one of the most successful events we have ever had. With the majority of the proceeds benefiting our local wounded military members, Navy Gold Star families and surrounding first responders, the effort put forward will have a lasting effect on so many of our heroes and their families.

A very humongous shout out to the City of Coronado, their Public Works, Lifeguards, Firefighters and Police who supported and kept the participants safe.

Finally, I want to thank the United States Navy and California State Parks for letting us borrow their beautiful stretch of beach for one day. The event was a resounding success and proved once again that a little effort and a lot of compassion can move mountains.

Thank you and see you again on Saturday, June 18, 2022, for the 24th edition.
