The Coronado Junior Woman’s Club would like to extend a heartfelt thank you the fantastic restaurants and shops that made the tenth annual Taste of Coronado a huge success.

The sell-out event was able to raise $32,000 this year, thanks in large part to the generous donations of food and libations by our wonderful local businesses. A large portion of those proceeds will go to Coronado’s Camp Able, which provides aquatic day camp activities like sailing, surfing, swimming, and boogie-boarding to children and adults with a wide range of disabilities every summer. The remainder of the proceeds support local service projects and the scholarships the Coronado Junior Woman’s Club awards to two Coronado High School senior girls who embody the club’s values.

More than 800 patrons walked, rode bikes, and hopped on the free trolley to enjoy hefty tastes from 30 businesses from the Ferry Landing down to the Hotel del Coronado. From delectable ahi tuna bites at The Henry, to a huge taco bar, meatloaf and mashed potatoes at Clayton’s, to wine tastes at Wine a Bit, to burgers at Nicky Rottens, the evening was full of amazing food, fun, and Coronado charm.

We are thrilled that the community loves and supports this event, making it a success and benefitting a plethora of incredible philanthropies year after year.

Thank you, Coronado, for another beautiful evening for a great cause!
