This is in reference to SDG&E’s proposal to charge everyone a $39 monthly electric fee. I purchased solar panels for $18,000 and have reduced my electric bill to zero. SDG&E buys the power my panels generate for pennies, which helps their bottom line and helps the environment reduce use of fossil fuels. This charge will reduce incentives for people to install solar and contradicts the governor’s goal to promote installation of solar in homes. I feel this charge is penalizing me for investing in solar and trying to make the planet greener. SDG&E has not made a persuasive case for this extra charge given the benefits solar provides to it and the planet at little charge to them. Let’s fight it.

Sincerely
