I appreciated David Axelson’s article entitled “Golf Course Modernization Project…The Discussion is in the Details.”

Residents must be informed about this enormous undertaking and go into it with their eyes open. It is a horrendous price tag with extremely high costs to operate. I would appreciate more information provided to the public in the Eagle & Journal, so that it is easily accessible, about the costs over time as well as a business case of why the city believes this is the best way to address future droughts. I do believe it is a well intentioned idea. But I am not convinced that this is the way that the majority of Coronado citizens believe their tax dollars should be spent nor am I convinced that the city has done its due diligence to explore all of the possible options to address future droughts.
