Recently, I saw a politician ask for your cell phone number on his donation page. Watch out! This is an update to the annoying robocall. Did you know that it is now possible to send mass texts to your cell phone?

Campaign laws require campaign contributors to provide their name, address, occupation, and employer, but nothing more.

Political candidates need to communicate with the electorate, but I find unwanted cell phone calls and texts to be an irritating intrusion. You may want to think twice before sharing your cell phone number.
