The School Board should be more than a rubber stamp for the NEA (National Educators Association, the largest teachers union in the country), the Administrators, and the State. The Trustees are your representatives who exercise local control, and who should listen to those voices in the community who have the most invested in the education of our children — the parents. The following candidates for the CUSD School Board are committed to giving parents a seat at the table: Youngblood, Scheurer, and Meglioli for the 4 year term, and Machin for the 2 year term.

Excellent points. Less governmental/administrative interference in our schools is needed throughout the country.
