Restoration of sanity in Washington is finally assured. We can leave the national healing to Joe Biden. Let us now, in Coronado, turn to fighting off the Port of San Diego, SANDAG, and the Tijuana sewage overflows.

The Port is apt to attempt to do something terrible on our Ferry Landing. Imagine a parking structure! Restricted access to the bay front! Port Planners with that Commission (heads up Bonnelli) obviously are capable of excruciatingly awful decisions. Start with the Ball Park turned so the seats look back to blank buildings instead of out to the water views. Or the Convention Center, which could have been placed anywhere, and instead walls off blocks of public waterfront.

The San Diego Association of Governments steadily votes against Coronado, Imperial Beach, and Solana Beach, following the hired Executive Director slavishly, with absolutely no regard for the wishes and sensibilities of the coastal cities’ citizens. Continuing with the attempt to impose 1,001 new affordable units on our village!

The Mexican sewage contamination is beyond contempt.

However, we have elected another strong Mayor and very well qualified Council. We need to follow their leads, fight back, and prevail. This town is our precious heritage. We are obligated to our forebears and our off spring to preserve it.
