Today, July 15, 2019, president Trump announced that the people seeking asylum at the border will be denied entrance to America. That action is against international law that states that asylum seekers must be allowed in.

They will be vetted rigorously.

There must be strict regulations and laws that state no separation of children from their parents. I.C.E. must follow that edict, meaning no detention centers with separated families; and good centers that provide enough showers, decent food, decent sleeping areas (not cement floors).

We, in America, have been a beacon of light for asylum seekers. We must continue to keep that light. We must recognize human rights for all.
