In a recent editorial, J.F. Kelly Jr. claims that the presidential race should be decided on policies not personality. The real choice is between chaos and character. As a retired Navy captain, you would not have tolerated the type of reckless behavior President Trump engages in on a daily basis by the sailors under your command. Why do you hold the Commander-in-Chief to a lower standard?

As to policy: do you think the deaths of 180,000 Americans have nothing to do with the failed policies of this Administration? I am heartened that the latest poll shows that military members support Joe Biden by a wide margin. Clearly they believe that character still counts.
