Sandy Baird Armstrong

Sandy Baird Armstrong of San Diego, a former resident of Coronado, died March 5, 2020, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was 76.

Her death freed her from Alzheimer’s disease, which she had suffered for more than 12 years. She will be remembered for her beauty, sense of humor and deep love of family and life itself.

Sandy was born in Texas and spent her formative years in Ohio and Coastal Georgia. She moved to Coronado in the late 1960s. 

She worked for more than 20 years at San Diego Gas and Electric, where she specialized in telemarketing, sales training and community outreach.

Survivors include her husband, John; daughters Stacy Ralph of San Diego, Terri Kostecki of Temecula and Angela Dant of Alameda; son Chris Armstrong of Fresno; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at La Jolla Country Club at 11:30 a.m. on May 2.
