Sandra Waugerman

Sandra Waugerman (née Boyd) of Arlington, Virginia, passed away at the age of 76.

She was born Sandra Aneeta Boyd in Baltimore, Maryland to Vallette McNair Boyd and David Boyd, USNR (both deceased). Her father’s Naval career took the family to both coasts and in November 1958, they relocated to Coronado for his next duty station. Sandra entered Coronado High School and graduated in June 1961.

The next duty station was at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii where Sandra attended the University of Hawaii for two years, ultimately graduating from the University of New Hampshire. She spent her career in the Federal Civil Service system, mainly in the Washington D.C. area.

Sandra visited Coronado a few times and returned in 1991 for her 30 year reunion, where the class participated in the 4th of July parade down Orange Avenue.

Her third marriage to C. R. Waugerman lasted nearly 40 years before her passing. Sandra is survived by her husband C.R. Waugerman of Arlington; and brother David McNair Boyd of San Diego. Per her wishes, she will be cremated and no services will be held.
