Come one, come all to the Coronado Lawn Bowling Club o Thursday, July 18, for the Annual Evening Bowling and BBQ with Guest Grill Chef, Roger Miller, Director of Recreation and Golf Services. Coronado residents and their friends and visitors who have never before rolled a bowl can arrive at any time between 6 p.m. and sunset, learn to play the game, and will be playing immediately with other beginning bowlers.
The CLBC will be furnishing hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage and chicken, and beverages, including adult beverages. Members and guests may contribute appetizers or side dishes if they wish. The Annual Evening BBQ is $5 per adult, children under 12 are free. Advanced registration is encouraged. The Spreckels Bowling Green is behind the John D. Spreckels Center at the corner of Seventh and D Avenue, behind the new John D. Spreckels Center. Bring family, friends and neighbors interested in trying out this fascinating and fun sport. There are junior sized lawn bowls for children and this event is very family friendly.
