Islander Crista Izuzquiza concluded her sensational senior year with a seven-way tie for third place at the 2019 CIF State Golf Championships held Tuesday, November 2019, at the Poppy Hills Course in Pebble Beach. She shot a two-over par round of 73. Caroline Canales from Calabasas High School, who won the event with a one under par round of 70, was the only golfer in the field to finish under par for the 18-hole championship round.

Izuzquiza bogeyed holes 3, 8, 12 and 17. She put together birdies on holes 15 and 16 to keep herself into contention, before giving one stroke back on 17. Izuzquiza was the lowest scoring golfer from the San Diego area in the event, which was played on a 5,921 yard layout at Poppy Hills
