It turns out it was a big cross country season for the Hundley Family, as Abigail’s older sister Madden Hundley (CHS ’19) helped the Westmont College Women’s Cross Country Team to a second place finish in the Golden State Athletic Conference championship in Orange. Hundley finished in sixth place individually in the GSAC event, covering the five-kilometer course in 19:09.9.
By virtue of that strong result, Hundley also qualified for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Championship, which was held Nov. 22 in Vancouver, Washington. Hundley covered the 3.11-mile course in 20:06.3 and finished 200th out of a field of 341 runners, a fine result for a freshman competing in a national-level competition.
