Coronado Middle School Surf Club is happy to announce an exciting new surf contest here at Shipwreck Beach in Coronado on Saturday, Nov. 29. This contest will have divisions for youth and adults alike in both Shortboard and Longboard surfing. In addition to the surfing competition, there will be a prone paddleboard relay race which is a crowd favorite.

The event starts at 7 a.m. and should finish by 1 p.m. There will be an awards ceremony and raffle of prizes immediately following the contest at nearby Gator Beach. Local merchants such as Hollands Bicycles, Emerald City, Island Surf, Isle Surf and SUP and others have generously donated to benefit the CMS Surf Club.

This event will raise funds to send our local competition students enter the California State Championships in May. More information and registration can be found at www.ccsurfclassic.com. We invite the entire community to come down and participate in this exciting new surf contest.
