To help residents know the community is thinking of them, the Coronado Public Library is collecting illustrations for the residents of Coronado Retirement Village.

Samantha Gomez, a staff member at Coronado Retirement Village, said receiving colorful pictures from children, teens and adults in the community would help to cheer up residents who have been sheltering in place as a result of the pandemic.

Please drop off artwork to the library at the summer reading prize table between the hours of 11 a.m. through 1 p.m. Monday through Friday or place it in an envelope and deposit in one of our book drops. You can also mail pictures to the library at 640 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118. Illustrations will be collected through Aug. 7.

Library staff will package the collected creations and deliver to the Coronado Retirement Village.
