On Wednesday, Jan. 22 at 2:30 p.m., the City of Coronado’s John D. Spreckels Center will be hosting the Chopra Center for an interactive presentation on, “Health with Ayurveda.” This presentation, offered for the first time in Coronado, will provide a path to enhance lifestyles through increasing awareness of physical, emotional and spiritual health. All attendees will learn how to identify their dosha and be given a general understanding of any “imbalances” they may be experiencing. Additionally, free resources and materials will be provided to further explore ways to improve overall health.

The Chopra Center, founded in 1996 by Deepak Chopra, M.D. and David Simon, M.D., is recognized as the first to offer a holistic approach to health in the United States. Using the knowledge of scientists, physicians and visionaries, the Chopra Center seeks to educate those who desire to restore and maintain their health and well-being of mind, body, and spirit. Chopra provides an integrative approach to health through the awareness of physical, emotional, spiritual, and relational experiences by using the practices of yoga, meditation and Ayurveda. The consciousness- based teachings of the Vedic Science, combined with research of western medicine, serve as the foundation of the Chopra Center Program. If you are seeking to find a new approach for total health or if you already know the benefits of Ayurveda but would like some extra knowledge and encouragement, don’t miss this one of a kind opportunity.

This informative lecture will feature Jamie Coleman, a certified Chopra Instructor, who specializes in Primordial Sound Meditation and Perfect Health: Ayurveda Lifestyle. Coleman served as a Program Consultant and has had the privilege to support thousands of guests from around the world. Coleman was introduced to the power of yoga and meditation as a Yale graduate. Being able to work for the Chopra Center has allowed Coleman to fuse his love for wellness with his passion for business. Meditation, Yoga, and Ayurveda have become the staple of his life today, and it is this practice that has allowed Jamie to become his true essence as a beautiful, radiant Soul.
