All ages are invited to learn more about these ocean creatures on Wednesday, June 26 at 10 a.m. in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library.

Sharks are often referred to as the villains of the oceans, but what roles do sharks, and their close relatives really play?

Presented by Laura K. Jordan-Smith, Ph.D., we will dive deeper into the myths and mysteries surrounding sharks and find out what they can teach us, and why this information is vital to protecting ocean health. Hear from shark scientists and get an up-close look at some preserved local species. This Summer Festival Event is free and open to the public thanks to the Friends of the Library. For more information, call the library at 619-522-7390.
