Rosie The Riveter Day 2021 ...

Coronado Girl Scouts from Troop 6530 commemorated Rosie the Riveter Day with Coronado City Councilman, Mike Donovan, on Sunday, March 21, 2021, by visiting the local rose garden planted in their honor. Each of these girls is proud to have a family member who worked as a Rosie. This garden was unveiled in 2018 in front of the John D. Spreckels Building in Coronado, and is one of a national network of rose gardens which serve as a lasting legacy to these women who worked in the defense industries during World War II.
