The Lion’s Club of Coronado, the oldest of Coronado’s service organizations, will present an informational session on the history, training and development of guide dogs to partner with visually impaired individuals on Saturday, Aug. 17 in the Winn Room at the Coronado Library, 640 Orange Avenue.

A group of young trainees, puppies from 2 months to 12 months old, along with their trainers from the Guide Dogs for the Blind San Diego Puppy Club, will be on hand to provide attendees with a first-hand experience with these important and impressive animals.

The event is free and open to the public and will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Contact Bill Plunkett for more information about the Coronado Lion’s Club or the Guide Dogs for the Blind, 619-884-3811.
