Sculptor Christopher Slatoff will be leading a children’s sculpture class as part of the Coronado Public Library’s exhibition, “25 Years of Monumental Sculpture.” Honoring the diverse wildlife of Coronado, children will each choose their favorite marine animal and sculpt it in colored clay. The finished sculptures can be taken home and baked in the oven. The class will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 9, in the Winn Room and is targeted for ages 7-11, although older or younger siblings are also welcome.

This event is made possible by the Jim and Bette Sherman Fund, following a generous donation to promote children’s art in Coronado through library programs.
