The Community Development Department will hold a public workshop on Sept. 12 to kick off the City’s Historic Context Statement and Survey project. Coronado Historic Preservation Planner Tricia Olsen and a consulting firm, who will be working with the City, will make a presentation at the meeting and gather input on what the community considers important to Coronado’s history. This input will help formulate a “historic context statement,” which will be used to inform a survey of potentially historic resources in Coronado as part of the City’s Historic Preservation Program. The workshop will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 5 to 7 p.m., in the Nautilus Room at the Coronado Community Center.
