A Fleet Science Center educator will also guide participants in building instruments to measure the weather happening around their own neighborhood.

The “Weather Instruments” workshop on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 10:30 a.m. follows on the heels of the popular “Geology Rocks” Fleet workshop hosted by the library in October, for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade.

“This is an opportunity for children to have a museum experience on a Saturday, all from the comfort of their own home,” said Library Director Shaun Briley. The Fleet Science Center is physically closed due to the pandemic.

Kits with the necessary materials will be available for registrants to pick up at Coronado Public Library starting Monday, Nov. 2, and a Zoom link will be emailed the day before the event. Registration is available through the library’s online calendar at cplevents.org. Space is limited.
