Emerald Keeper’s is hosting a poster contest, in conjunction with the Coronado Public Library, to encourage people to use sustainable practices for the health of the oceans. Entrants are asked to submit original work on a 18 X 12 inch paper or poster board. One entry will be accepted per person. On the back, include your name, grade, phone number and email. Bring all entries to the Coronado Library, 640 Orange Avenue on later than Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m.

Grade categories for entry are kindergarten through second grade; third through fifth grade; six through eighth grade and ninth through 12th grade. Winners will be announced on March 6 and cash prizes will be awarded at the “green” city council meeting on March 17.
