Russia’s war on Ukraine has profoundly altered Europe’s security outlook. The European Union has decided Europe will end imports of natural gas from Russia by 2030 - with a 2/3 reduction target by the end of this year. Is this feasible? What will be the impact on Europe, the U.S., and the world? This lecture will address these questions and discuss one of the EU’s most consequential decisions in its history.

David Edick Jr. is Principal at Core Global Advisory, a consultancy focused on energy, commodities, political risk, and market strategy. David has over 30 years of experience in international trade, investment banking, and NGO relations in Russia. He has worked abroad in Russia in the food trade and investment banking, and in Mexico in the seafood export development business. Drawing on his multidisciplinary global perspective and experience, David has lectured widely for more than 15 years on energy, finance, geopolitics.
