The Coronado Public Library resumed its street-side book drops for returns and curbside pickup services last week. The response has been overwhelming. Over the course of six hours on the first day of service, May 11, Library staff received 92 calls, took 483 book requests and checked in 1,691 items. These checked in items were in the possession of Library patrons, who could not return them due to the pandemic. There was no charge for overdue books. Curbside pickup services are offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Library customers will be able to search the catalog (coronadolibrary.org) and place holds anytime online, or by phone Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Staff will notify patrons when hold items have been pulled, sanitized and are ready for contact-less pickup. Pull up in front of the Library during service hours and call the Library to let staff know you are there and staff will deliver your items to your car.
The number to have your items delivered to your vehicle or to place a hold is 619-522-7390.
