The Coronado Historical Association hosts their monthly Wine & Lecture Series on Friday, Aug. 9 titled “Kumeyaay Ethnobotany.” Join us for an evening of wine and cheese as we explore the remarkable interdependence between native peoples and native plants of the Californias through in-depth descriptions of 47 native plants and their uses, lively narratives, and hundreds of vivid photographs.

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and the lecture commences 6 p.m. Cost for members is $15 and non-members is $18. The event takes place at 1100 Orange Avenue, seating is first come first served. Get tickets and more information at coronadohistory.org or 619-435-7242.
