Martin Luther King Jr. Reflection Walk ...

Fifth-grade students at Christ Church Day School (CCDS) identified their favorite quotes from Dr. King and turned them into beautiful posters. We invite Coronado residents to view and reflect on these quotes as they walk in front of our campus at 926 C Avenue.

Fifth-grade students at Christ Church Day School (CCDS) identified their favorite quotes from Dr. King and turned them into beautiful posters.

We invite Coronado residents to view and reflect on these quotes as they walk in front of our campus at 926 C Avenue. If you come up to participate in the walk, please do so masked and keep six feet of distance between yourself and others outside your family group. It is a gift to be able to offer this to both our CCDS community and the greater Coronado community, but we must do so, ensuring that we meet all COVID-19 protocols.

CCDS students in all grades will also learn more about Dr. King as we continue our One Book One School program with a read-aloud of the book, “Who Was Martin Luther King Jr.?” Following this book, CCDS students will celebrate Black History Month with biographies of many artists and historical figures.

To find out more about the curriculum at CCDS or for information about enrolling for the 2021-2022 school year, visit ccds.org or call 619-435-6393.
