The Coronado Public Library is pleased to announce its ninth annual Autumn Concert Series. Beginning on Friday, Sept. 3, and running through Friday Nov. 5, 2021, catch a variety of pianists and musicians at 1 p.m. in the Winn Room.
The series began as a brown-bag lunch concert for attendees to bring a snack to enjoy while listening to piano music. It has evolved to encompass many different music forms. In 2020, the series went virtual. Local pianists, and some further away, submitted performances that were then streamed on the Library’s social media accounts. This year, the series is offered both in-person and virtual.
With music from Brazilian to Broadway, this series will have something everyone can enjoy. Local guitarist Claudio Martin starts the series off on Friday, Sept 3 at 1 p.m. playing instrumental rock music. Subsequent concerts will feature Ed Kornhauser, John Gutheil, the San Diego Chamber Music Society, Naomi, Bobby Cressy, Ines Irawati, Ariadna Saenz, Vania Pimentel, and Glenn Kramer. Head to the library calendar for more information about each concert.
All concerts in the series are free thanks to the support of the Friends of the Coronado Public Library. The Winn Room doors will open to the public 15 minutes prior to each performance.
All performances will also be livestreamed on the Library’s Facebook Page.
