The Coronado Historical Association hosts their monthly Wine & Lecture Series on Friday, May 17 titled “Crown City by the Sea.” Join us for an evening of wine and cheese as author Jennifer M. Franks discusses her novel “Crown City by the Sea.” Jennifer M. Franks is a Navy wife, mother of two children, a flamenco guitar player, a co-founder of this year’s first Coronado Music Festival and author of four books. Her latest book, “Crown City by the Sea,” is a historical fiction novel on the founding and early years of Coronado (1885-1900) and the creation of its national treasure, the Hotel Del Coronado. Your ticket includes food and drink. The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. and the lecture commences 6 p.m. Cost for members is $15 and non-members are $18.
