Are you looking to calm, soothe and heal yourself within in these turbulent times? Sound Touch just might be the answer. The Sewall Healthy Living Center at Sharp Coronado Hospital, 250 Prospect Avenue, is offering a sound touch event on Thursday, April 4, at 4 p.m.

Sound touch is an approach to healing and wellbeing that addresses all aspects of a person’s mind, body and spirit. It deconstructs music into pure sound, harnessing the knowledge that sound can have a powerful effect on our emotions, called sound therapy arts. Sound therapy is said to help not only physical illness, but also help balance the emotions and quiet our busy mind. Most people feel calm and relaxed following this experience.

Enjoy vibrational sounds of Sound Therapist, CMT Marc Malin, who will use various music instruments such as, Tibetan bowls and tuning forks to make sound waves to allow the bio-energetic flow of systems, fluids and neuro-pathways both on physical and energetic levels. Hands-on therapy will be offered.

Malin is also a vibrational wellness, massage therapist, musician and faculty member at the University of San Diego.

Sewall Healthy Living Center at Sharp Coronado Hospital offers the community a safe, welcoming, spa-like destination to focus on wellness.
