Island Pasta is one of Coronado’s longest standing restaurants and it is open for business for dine in at their outdoor tables and take out.
Opening July 1, 1994, located in the old Oriental Arts store in the Winchester Building to a very excited local crowd, Island Pasta was the dream of Brant Sarber after many years of working at the Coronado Chart House in the old Hotel Del Boathouse. Owning a painting business “Brush & Rush” during the day, then managing the bar at night got him ready for his dream to come to fruition.
Thinking Coronado needed a fun locals spot to eat and drink, serving fresh pasta and sauces made daily and selling fresh pasta by the pound was a great way to start. Add to that a thin crust pizza, seafood, salads and sandwiches and Island Pasta has a very nice offering. Local favorites include the Rigatoni Bake, Lasagna, Shrimp scampi, a fresh pasta salad, Torpedo sandwich and more. There is a wide variety of wines by the bottle or glass.
Island Pasta is located at 1202 Orange Avenue; call 619-435-4545 for reservations, take out or more information.
