If you stroll through the Ferry Landing you might run into Tali Bercovitz, owner of Miss Match Boutique and fashion guru. She’s been helping customers look and feel their best for over 10 years, though 2020 has brought on challenges unique to operating a clothing store during COVID-19.
“The most frustrating part,” Bercovitz mentioned, “is that when people hear about restaurant shutdowns, they have just assumed retail was clumped into that category as well so getting the word out that we’re open has been difficult.”
Customers can currently shop at the store and use the fitting rooms while wearing a mask. While locals get 20% discount year-round, right now the discount is 30% for all locals during the holiday season.
Always thinking ahead, Bercovitz has many versatile pieces. “We have the most amazing collection of soft cardigans,” Bercovitz said. “They’re great comfy home pieces for these stay-at-home days that can turn into stylish wardrobe additions when things get back to normal.”
Aztec print and winter whites are also very “in” right now, and the Miss Match employees are always ready to help you find the perfect gift for yourself or others. “While like many shops we have a healthy ecommerce, brick and mortars need the support now more than ever so the best way to do that is to come to the store,” said Bercovitz. Of course, going to the store has the added benefit of assistance from her team who are all styling divas, she added – an experience that can’t be replicated online.
Bercovitz is grateful for the support from the community and locals can stop by Miss Match Boutique from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on week days and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends at the Ferry Landing, 1201 First Street, #217.
