Denver and Chris McGarey are no strangers to real estate. The Coronado couple, who have worked on more than $2 billion in real estate projects international and domestic, announced today the launch of their newest venture, McGarey Home, a residential real estate company that focuses on homebuyers’ two most valuable assets - home and family.

“We understand that Coronado real estate is about more than just well-staged furniture and an enthusiastic sales agent. This is an investment that will affect each family’s financial future,” says F. Denver McGarey, President of McGarey Home. “By merging our 62-year history of planning and managing high-profile residential and commercial projects throughout the U.S. and Asia with our combined 36 years of living on Coronado Island, we are able to offer an asset-based approach to home buying and selling, while taking into consideration the movement and opportunities within this unique market where we, ourselves, love living and raising our family.”

After visiting Coronado for years, in 2000, Denver and Chris made Coronado Island their home. They were engaged at the Hotel Del Coronado, and two of their children, Caroline and Worth, were born on the Island.

“We have a clear advantage to offer,” says Chris Jennings McGarey, chief operating officer of the new firm. “Many homebuyers in Coronado are from other areas or are residents interested in moving locally. These buyers and sellers are sophisticated business people who understand the importance of making the right investment decisions. Drawing upon our history here, we are able to assist in finding the right home or buyer to meet each client’s investment goals, while also directing new Coronadans to the very best schools, doctors, restaurants, entertainment, and services, to make their lives on Coronado truly enjoyable from the beginning.”

The firm has another unique offering in the hiring of Aileen Oya, a 35-year veteran of the Coronado market and a long-time friend of the McGarey family.

“Aileen brings a wealth of experience to McGarey Home, both as a Realtor® and as an active member of this community,” says Chris McGarey.

A Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) designated Realtor with tremendous passion for the local market, Aileen is also an active contributor to the local community, serving as president and board member for the Coronado Historical Association, and as a board member of Coronado’s MainStreet Committee, among others.

Additional members of the McGarey Home team include Bridget McGarey and Oliver McGarey, both of whom have tremendous experience working on projects ranging from the $700 million USC Village on behalf of the University of Southern California to a portfolio of mixed-use assets across the country.

McGarey Home officially opens its doors at 956 Orange Avenue, Suite 200 in Coronado in September.

The McGarey Home family draws upon decades of real estate sales, development, planning, analysis, design vision and asset management to provide exceptional Coronado Island real estate expertise. The team’s experience within the fabric of this community provides a distinct advantage to its clients.

The firm offers authentic insider knowledge on the nuances of the market, helping clients to make homebuying and selling decisions that will fortify their families, their lives, and their investment for the long term. McGarey Home’s mission “Expect Exceptional” speaks to its commitment to superior client service and counsel. More information is available at www.mcgareyhome.com.
