Bay Books is sponsoring a book signing with author Dan Crenshaw and his latest book “Fortitude - American Resilience in the Era of Outrage” on Saturday, Nov. 7. The book signing will take place on the patio at McP’s Irish Pub & Grill, 1107 Orange Avenue, from 12 to 4 p.m.

During Crenshaw’s third tour of duty as a SEAL, an improvised explosive device destroyed Crenshaw’s right eye and blinded his left eye. Through good surgeons and hard work, some sight returned to his left eye. Crenshaw went on to a fourth and fifth deployment, completed grad school at Harvard and became a U.S. representative. No stranger to challenges, Crenshaw wrote “Fortitude” as an advice book for difficult times, especially now with our drastic political divides. “We must all lighten up, toughen up, and begin treating our fellow Americans with respect and grace.”

Crenshaw spent his time in the SEALs based out of Coronado and he returns for the book discussion and signing.

Social distancing and masks will be required. Bay Books is taking prepaid pre-orders for the book signing. Books will be available for purchase at the event, too, credit/debit cards only. Only books purchased through Bay Books will be signed. Books available pre order thru Bay Books 619-435-0070 or
