Bay Books will be hosting San Diego author Lindsey Salatka with her book “Fish Heads and Duck Skin: A Novel” for a book signing on Sunday, Aug. 29 from 12 to 2 p.m.

“Fish Heads and Duck Skin” takes a humorous and heart-felt approach to a burned out high achieving and short-fused mom and wife, Tina, who convinces her husband and family to quit everything, including her own career, and move to Shanghai. The inner peace she was looking for in their new home does not come instantaneously.

“The themes in the book are universal, everyone wants to belong and feel like they’re part of something larger than themselves,” Salatka says. “Tina captures the struggle many of us feel and then moves across the globe to find herself, only to realize the person she wants to be was inside her all along.”

Bay Books is located at 1007 Orange Avenue, www.baybookscoronado.com, 619-435-0070.
