Coronado may be missing its Annual Holiday Parade this week, but fans of this beloved tradition can revel in the nostalgia of Parades Past with a special 15 minute video broadcasting on Coronado TV this Friday, Dec. 4.

Tune into Channel 19 to summon the magic of Santa’s star turn at Snow Mountain, watch the jaunty floats and marching bands parade down Orange Avenue and sing along to the heartwarming caroling for the tree lighting ceremony at Rotary Plaza.

Of course it’s not just holiday celebrations we are missing at the moment, we also miss seeing each other’s faces. Every day we meet and greet people in Orange Avenue stores and restaurants as we shop and dine local but we can only guess at the smiles beneath the masks. Fortunately the Coronado Chamber has been hitching reindeer rides from the Cays to Ferry Landing, recording Happy Holidays messages from 44 of our local businesses.

Watch the ten minute video and keep an eye out for Lamb’s Players in full costume, the ladies from Blue Jeans & Bikinis in glam pajamas, Coronado Axe Throwing with beribboned axes, two Navy veterans, a retired K9 turned fashion assistant, three junior representatives from the Coronado Swim Association and the very springy trio of coaches at F45. There’s even a message from Santa and Mrs Claus at our very sunny equivalent of the North Pole - the Hotel Del!

We guarantee that by the end of watching the video you will feel even more warm and fuzzy about our wonderful community of Coronado - especially after you view the blooper reel!

So grab a hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and enjoy the shows!
