As the travel and tourism industry continues to face unexpected disruptions posed by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to reach out to our supportive community to let you know we’re thinking of you and hope you are staying active, healthy, and safe. We also wanted to provide you with a few updates.
First and foremost, our hearts go out to everyone who has been impacted by the virus, either directly or indirectly. We’re truly inspired by the selfless healthcare workers around the world caring for people in need. You may have heard about the partnership Hilton formed with American Express to donate up to one million room nights for these frontline medical professionals. We are incredibly honored to be part of Hilton and are thankful for their work to support these heroes.
Second, even though we have temporarily suspended operations, we are actively identifying ways to keep our guests safe and healthy when the time comes to reopen our doors and which offerings to open first. We will share those details once they are finalized and we have clearer direction from California officials, but they will include: enhanced cleaning and sanitation measures, physical distancing practices, controlled foot traffic, fewer touch points, and any other guidelines from government and health authorities.
And finally, while remaining fully compliant with California Governor Newsom’s health and safety orders, we are pleased to share our reimagined pool, Cabana guestrooms, Spa, Sun Deck, and exciting updates to Babcock & Story and Eno’s Pizzeria mid-summer! Stay tuned for additional updates next month.
