The VFW Auxiliary Post 2422 is pleased to report on the success of their Campaign to Replenish our VFW Auxiliary Veterans Relief Fund. We were able to raise $3,475 through the generous donations from our VFW Auxiliary Members, VFW Members and the Coronado Community. We were able to provide financial support to many Veterans and their Family Organizations such as the VA Hospital patients, the Veterans Village of San Diego, Youth Activities Program, Christmas Gifts for Veterans Children, Patriotic Art Programs for Children, the Salvation Army, Wreaths Across America and other worthwhile Veterans Charities.

The women patients at the VA Hospital extend their sincere appreciation for the many new clothing items that were provided. Thanks to all of you who generously donated to them.

For anyone interested in joining the Coronado VFW Auxiliary, or would like more information, please call Dawn Zittel at dawnauxnado@gmail.com. If anyone would like to contribute to the Veterans’ Relief Fund, please send a check, payable to VFW Auxiliary Post 2422 to 557 Orange Avenue, Coronado, CA 92118.

As the VFW Auxiliary begins this new year, they want to thank all of our veterans and their families for their service to our country. Your love of our country and your service is greatly appreciated by all Americans. God bless you all, and God bless America!

Thank you again, Coronado!
