The U.S. Census Bureau is currently conducting the 2020 Census population count which takes place every 10 years. The data collected validates and justifies the distribution of more than $675 billion in federal funds to states and communities. The funds are for child and senior health care programs as well as educational and infrastructure programs.
It is important for every household to respond. According to figures from a local Bureau representative, so far, the 2020 Census average response rate in Coronado is 60.41 percent, which is nearly 10 percent less than the average response rate from 2010.
