The City has worked hard during the ongoing pandemic to make public participation in local government matters as simple as possible. Pursuant to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s executive orders, the City Council and staff may participate in public meetings via teleconference. In the interest of reducing the spread of COVID-19, no in-person public participation is currently allowed in Coronado. All meetings of the City Council and other boards, commissions and committees are broadcast live on Spectrum Channel 19 and AT&T Channel 99 on the day of the meeting and rebroadcast daily until the next meeting. The meetings can also be streamed live on the City’s website. Public comments for all boards, commissions and committees can be made via each group’s page. To submit a public comment, visit https://www.coronado.ca.us/cms/one.aspx?pageId=1542925 on the City’s website, then:
Select the board, commission or committee you are looking for;
Select the Agendas & Minutes link from the left hand column;
Select Public Comment from the left hand column;
Scroll down to the actual form, fill it out and hit submit at the bottom.
Please submit your comment no later than 11 a.m. on the meeting day to allow for distribution and posting. All written comments will be posted on the City’s website in lieu of being read aloud at the meeting. Please note that this form is defined as a public record under the California Public Records Act and is therefore subject to public disclosure upon request. Members of the public may request to provide live public comment via Zoom, however, requests must be made at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting.
