On Saturday, May 4, Coronado Police received a radio call at 9:40 p.m. of a street robbery in the 1700 block of Silver Strand Boulevard. Three suspects, armed with handguns and a knife, approached two men sitting in their parked vehicle. The victims were held at gun point and knifepoint, while the suspects ransacked the victim’s vehicle stealing property. The suspects then left the area in a black sedan. An officer located a vehicle matching the description heading eastbound on the San Diego-Coronado Bridge and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle failed to yield, and a pursuit began into San Diego and ending in the 3700 block of Federal Boulevard, where the three male suspects fled the vehicle. Two juvenile females in the vehicle were detained and later released. The suspects were not located. Some of the victim’s property was recovered. The suspects have been identified.
