Pennies For PAWS Fundraiser ...

Posted: Friday, June 21, 2019 10:19 am

The Pennies for PAWS fundraiser was held by the Christ Church Day School (CCDS) second grade class and their teacher Cheryl Williams during the months of April and May raising $1204.37. This is a record amount raised by a second grade class during the history of this annual CCDS fund raising project! These funds will be used to pay for medical care for the animals in need at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. As part of the project, the children rolled all of the coins in preparation for the deposit into the PAWS account at Union Bank. The class then made a trip to the bank to make the deposit along with PAWS volunteers Karen Dwinell and Janice Szumowski. Hats off, (each child got a PAWS hat), and PAWS up to these children and their teacher for doing such an outstanding job in raising money to benefit the animals of Coronado.
