Nonprofit Banners ...

Coronado has installed new banners on 30 street poles along Orange Avenue from First Street to Avenida de las Arenas celebrating two local nonprofit organizations. The banner program allows Coronado nonprofits to apply to display banners along Orange.

Nonprofit groups represent two of the five banner series presented each year and are displayed mid-September through late November and January through March. The current series highlights the Coronado School of the Arts, or CoSA, marking its 25th year in the community and Emerald Keepers, one of Coronado’s newest nonprofits, a community-based effort to sustain and preserve the coastal community. Since 2017, the City has received funding through Discover Coronado to cover the design, production and installation of up to five banners annually. The Cultural Arts Commission, Coronado MainStreet and Chamber of Commerce collaborate on the program. For more information, contact Kelly Purvis at kpurvis@coronado.ca.us.
