Local Parking Changes ...

Streets Division continues to remove parking meters in the commercial corridor. The work, which should be completed by mid-January, was delayed several weeks because of reduced crews due to COVID precautions and exacerbated by the City’s responsibility to remove holiday lights and banners. Parking signs and curb decals were installed to notify drivers of the new parking regulations. As a reminder, parking that was previously metered throughout the City will now be free, but Coronado Police will continue to enforce the posted time limits on parking. Orange Avenue time limits are two hours. Violators will be issued citations. The Police will start writing warnings in mid-January and implement citations on Feb. 1.
