The City and American Red Cross have scheduled the third blood drive for 2021. This next drive will be held on a weekend, Sunday, March 28, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the John D. Spreckels Center, 1019 Seventh Street. All blood donations are now tested for COVID-19 antibodies.

In 2020, the City sponsored nine blood drives, that attracted 367 participants of which 159 were first time donors. Coronado had the highest collection total for the year in the Central-South San Diego region.
