The Coronado Public Library is teaming up with the San Diego Shakespeare Society to help parents teach their kids how to engage with Shakespeare and other classic works. An expert speaker will give tips for homeschool, classroom, or after school programs. Ideas include fun games, educational activities, and actual performances both online and on the stage.

Speaker Brendan Kelso has spent the past 17 years working with children, educators, and parents from around the globe on how to engage their kids with Shakespeare. Being a playwright with a primary focus on Shakespeare for Kids and Classics for Kids, as well as directing over 150 productions with these titles, he has quite an extensive and unique insight to what makes Shakespeare resonate with kids from their early years through high school.

This free one hour Zoom talk takes place on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. To sign up, visit https://www.eventbrite.com/e/engaging-your-kids-with-shakespeare-virtual-lecture-tickets-115653162723.
