The City of Coronado’s John D. Spreckels Center continues its monthly offerings to keep the adult community involved, interested, and inspired.

On Thursday, Aug. 15 at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., take advantage of our Senior Advocate Network Panel. Learn the critical questions to ask when hiring caregivers in your home or when moving into assisted living communities, and hear an estate planning attorney discuss wills, trusts, and advanced directives. Specialists will also discuss Medicare, funeral, and final medical expenses, and give a hospice and palliative care overview in this free presentation.

Join Sharp Coronado Hospital’s physical therapy specialist on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2:30 to 4 p.m. for a discussion about Healthy Muscles and Bones. Find out about the most common musculoskeletal pain conditions, how to prevent those conditions, and treatment options. Learn how to recognize the first signs of an injury, the immediate steps to take after an injury occurs, and when to seek a doctor’s help. This is a FREE workshop.

To sign up or receive additional information, stop by the Spreckels Center at 1019 Seventh Street, call 619-522-7343, or visit online at www.coronado.ca.us/spreckels.
